Early snowstorm hits US East Coast - BBC News
There has been an unseasonable snowstorm at the US East Coast which caused up to 40cm of snow in some regions of New Jersey and Massachusetts. Due to the heavy snowfall, which is also responsible for a lack of electricity support, a winter storm warning has been issued.
At the Central Park in New York City, there has been falling 1.3in of snow. This is a new October record. In 1972 it was the last time that Pennsylvania saw a snow storm as early as these days, in New England snow fall normally can't be measured until December.
But there is also some chaos at the airports of New York and Philadelphia because flights have been delayed and weren't even allowed to depart. But meteorologists say that this was a “two-day event” and there was no need to worry that the whole winter would be like the last few days.
